It was just an optimal selection for a cursory stop in Long Beach with value for price. The interaction with the staff was surprisingly friendly despite the area being a bit rough.

great access to parks and art in long beach
I loved how close the Museum of Latin American Art and Signal Hill Park were, making it super easy for me to enjoy a weekend exploring art and scenic views around the city. I got to walk through these vibrant areas and enjoy the local vibe.

Check-in was smooth, and the front desk staff were welcoming, particularly the cheerful owner who made a point to ask about our sleep and wished us well. The atmosphere was calm and quiet, perfect for a budget stay, but the room felt smaller than expected for two. The location, while affordable, had some unsavory characters nearby, which affected our sense of security during the night.

Super friendly staff!
We stayed for 6 nights and it was pretty chill. The manager was super nice and even gave us a discount for staying longer! Plus, she was great with our dog. The place felt safe and secure, but the area outside got kinda sketchy at night. The dining options weren’t bad either, decent breakfast for a quick bite.

I had a surprisingly pleasant stay. the check-in was quick, the room was clean, and it was so quiet at night! The only downside was the tight parking.

Parking is a nightmare. with only about ten spots available on a first-come, first-served basis—good luck finding a space after checking in. I encountered some uncomfortable elements like burn holes in the bedding, which was quite off-putting. Plus, the overhead light in my room flickered and died shortly after entering, adding to the feeling that maintenance is lacking.

Couple seeking a chill stay
Check in was quick and the lady at the front desk was super nice asked about our sleep and wished us a nice day. Ain't much happening around the hotel which was perfect for us, just pure quietness and good vibes all around.
It wasn't exactly cheap but still acceptable for what we got.

My stay offered helpful service and basic amenities. The location made parking tricky. Despite this, the free Wi-Fi and tv provided comfort during my single night in the King Room. I appreciate the recommendations from staff as well.

Stayed for a night. Wi-fi was super fast and the flat-screen TV was a nice touch! 😄 However, the area felt a bit sketchy. Wouldn't recommend for solo travelers.

I recently stayed at Ruby Motel and had a decent experience. The location seemed convenient, close to several attractions and food options, which I appreciated. The room I booked was a King Room, and the bed was surprisingly comfortable, giving me one of the best sleeps I've had in a while. The pillows felt fluffy and relaxing. However, I did face some challenges with parking. The lot is quite small, and it operates on a first-come, first-served basis, which was frustrating. After finding a spot, I learned about a $50 cash deposit that I wasn’t aware of, so I had to make a quick ATM run and ended up losing my parking spot in the process. Additionally, I noticed burn holes in the bedding, which wasn't appealing. The lighting in the room also had issues. it flickered after I entered. I hoped for a bit more cleanliness and upkeep. Overall, the pleasant staff made my stay better, but the facility needs some attention.
